Mod Pizza was born from a simple belief: everyone deserves a pizza that's truly theirs. Founded in Tucson, Arizona by the Rivera family in 2014, we set out to create a place where guests could walk in as strangers and leave feeling like family.
Our founders, Marco and Sofia Rivera, spent years perfecting their dough recipe — a slow-rise, 48-hour fermented crust that delivers the perfect balance of crisp exterior and chewy interior. Inspired by their Italian heritage and the vibrant flavors of the Southwest, they created a menu that blends tradition with creativity.

Marco and Sofia Rivera open Mod Pizza with a tiny menu, six tables, and an enormous oven imported from Naples. The line stretches around the block on opening day.

Catering & Delivery Launch
We launch our full catering service and partner with local delivery platforms, bringing Mod Pizza to homes across Tucson. Monthly orders triple in six months.
